Feeling sick and tired?
Have you ever felt like the world is going against you? Like you can’t move forward. Your boss wants more and more out of you, the traffic is horrible, the bills just keep coming, your relationship is lacking, the price of things are getting higher and higher. The kids are needing more and more stuff, or your kids are going to college and the pressure is on to get them into a good school, and how are you going to pay for it all? You may be divorced and/or a single mom trying to hold down the fort. Your parents are getting older and need attention from you. You look in the mirror and you see that you are not the same person you were 20 or so years ago. You work yourself hard and it seems like you do not get anywhere. Your emotional bank seems empty. the food you’re eating isn’t the best, it’s mostly on the run, exercising is lacking or not at all, and you are not taking any time to recharge yourself. You have gained some weight, sleeping like crap. I mean hey, when they heck do any of us have time to take care of ourselves? Where do you go from here?
It’s time to start to look in the mirror and be nice to yourself. You are a beautiful woman. For starters, say something nice about yourself in the mirror in the morning. I don’t care what it is, it could be as simple as “I am a hard worker” We know that we are. We work so hard without a lot of help or recognition. Now, take a breath. There is a breathing technique that is so simple that it feels like it does nothing. Start by doing this every day it will help ground yourself and find just a slice of peace so that you can go on with your day. You can do it more than once a day. It will help you to react without emotion to your stressful situation and come to a better understanding of where to go from here. Making your head clear and rational, to react better to situations, rather than a quick and emotional outburst. Those outbursts and feelings of stress create a lot of inflammation inside the body and in turn makes your body produce a lot of cortisol which is good in small amounts, yet when not in check it keeps your body in a state of fight or flight, which makes you fat, sick and age faster. Science has shown that even small amounts of meditative breathing can change your gene expression. It turns on the anti-inflammatory genes. Helps boost your immune system. Now that is a big bonus for taking just a few minutes each day to breathe. I have provided the link below for you to check out. It will take 2.21 minutes of your time to watch it. A great investment in yourself.
I chose this because it works and is so simple the busy woman can utilize it with ease. Then you can start to work on the other things in your life that need attention so you can get back to healing you.
