Toxicity on your skin

Many times we think about food as our only ways of cleaning up the toxic things we put into our bodies. Did you realize that everyday we are putting several thousands of chemicals on our skin that are absorbing into our bodies? Your skin is the largest organ and first defense against outside invaders. Every day we lather on toxic soaps, creams, shampoo, perfumes, toothpaste. Use toxic dish and laundry soaps. No one looks at the ingredients list on their soap. If you did you would find many words you are not able to pronounce. Many of which that are toxic to our bodies. Especially if you are putting them on every day and using these products often. The toxicity builds up over time.

Have you tried to use more cleaner and safer cleansers? It may be something to look at if you are thinking of reducing your exposure to chemicals or other environmental toxins. Don’t go throwing all your soaps away. I am not saying stop everything you are doing. This is something else we should think about in our daily lives. To some people this is very important to others it is not. If you would like to try it, try to replace one of your cleansers or creams and see how it makes you feel. You may feel better for a number of reasons. Sometimes just the peace of mind you get from knowing you have put something good on your body can make a difference.

In the end your body and immune system will thank you for it. Think about how much your body is taking in every day. After a while it adds up and your body may say enough. Then you have a rash of some kind, or an allergy. We put lotion on our bodies to heal dry skin and wrinkles but the health of our skin actually comes from within. By eating nourishing foods and drinking good water. Let’s try and keep our skin as best we can. Almost like it was when we were born.
